I am committed to making speech therapy an enjoyable experience for every child using play-based intervention. Sessions can be completed in the clinic, at home or in the community.

 
 

Services

Offering intervention for children who experience difficulties with their: 

  • Receptive (understanding) and expressive (talking) language 

  • Speech production 

  • Social skills (conversations, emotions and problem solving)

  • Phonological awareness and literacy skills 

  • Fluency (stuttering) 

  • Picky eaters and problem feeders

Signs

Signs that indicate a need for Speech Pathology intervention:

  • No babbling by 9 months 

  • No first words by 15 months 

  • Difficulty understanding your child's speech by 2 years  

  • Sudden loss of speech and language skills

  • Easily frustrated due to communication barriers

  • Tantrums, meltdowns, behaviour and difficulty with attention

  • Difficulty with memory and learning new information

  • Difficulty telling stories and sharing ideas

  • Social withdrawal and playing by themselves more than others

  • Avoiding reading and writing tasks 

  • Stuttering leading to frustration and embarrassment

Speech Hut has two clinic locations on the Sunshine Coast, Maroochydore and Mudjimba.

Speech Hut is able to provide services for people without a referral. You can ring and make an initial booking at any time.
